Hola, soy Jorge. Un gusto conocerte.

I'm a Computer Systems Engineer, I have 3 years of experience being a Developer at HITSS Consulting. Since I started working I'm learning a lot of new technologies and I want to learn more. I'm quite confident working in team and being a self-taught person, I like to learn new things and I try to self improve every time. Some of my last projects were:

  • Developed Java projects along with the Spring framework and Gradle for business-side, and JavaScript and JQuery for user-side.
  • Performed a platform migration to a Linux distribution (RHEL), need to configure the environment with the libraries, PHP and an Apache server.
  • Migrated a database from Oracle to IBM DB2. The data transfer was made it using Pentaho tool (Spoon).
  • Used the SAP tool: Business Objects - Business Inteligence 4.2 to made specifics systems reports.
  • Developed interfaces with Java w/Gradle and Linux Shell scripting to comunicate two systems and manipulate the data from the outcoming system to put in the final system.

I consider Java as my foundation programming language, I've been using it quite few years now starting at my engineering. I like all related to desktop and web programming. I feel curious to learn new languages and practice with them to explore more its capabilitites, learn new languages and technologies are a delight to me.

Facing today's technology problems challenge me to do the best to overcome them and when I do it I feel awesome! In my free time I like to do self-projects, like an Android app to manage a clan for Clash Royale game, a Java Standalone SMTP Service and a web Agenda with reminders via E-Mail.
